THIS week we are announcing the arrival of a great new addition to the Mountain River Fly Shop range, Jackson Hole outdoor apparel company Cloudveil.
But our first offering from Cloudveil is the Women’s Flat Creek Jacket (pictured at left), though we have the classic navy rather than the red.
Gore-Tex WindStopper quality wards off wind-chill and keeps you snuggly warm.
A bulk-less cut complements the feminine figure and small-zip side pockets warm fingers in cold weather. Napoleon pockets hold bulky items without bulging the chest. This has been a winner with our female staff.
Cloudveil started as a mountaineering/skiing company, but since many of their management and staff are hardcore fly fishers, and why not living in Jackson Hole, the company is expanding their product range into fly fishing.
We were looking for additional female-specific pieces to complement our strong range of Simms men’s and women’s, apparel. Too many companies are merely changing the sizes and colors on men’s shirts rather than designing pieces specifically for women, so we went looking for something better.
It was a tough choice with some great manufacturers out there, but Cloudveil is one of the hottest new entrants into the fly fishing apparel business. Their no-shortcuts design philosophy fits with our own and those of our other suppliers.
We will have lots more exciting pieces to show you in spring in both men’s and women’s lines.
