Monday night in Denver and the big white tent downtown is packed with trout bums, shop rats, racoon-eyed guides, underground icons, genuine gurus, wannabees and real deals, tattooed 20-somethings and grey-haired bamboo-wavers _ the whole cross section of the fly fishing community.
In the midst of this late night revelry was the Journal, Bec and our Pommy fly shop manager and mate from Dallas Steve.
We knew that Jim Klug and Tom Bie’s film was going to be good, we have previewed 2 trailers here already.
But it was very very impressive with some stunning cinematography from a storied team and some great tales told.
But when you sit down at an event like this and you find under your chair an icy-cold capped bottle of Trout Slayer beer, then karma is on your side. I discovered Trout Slayer on a voyage of trout water discovery of my own, throughout Idaho back in ‘03, as it was as much a part of my memory as flavinea on the Henry’s Fork and PMDs on Silver Creek.
Hope you enjoy this trailer as much as we did and we will have the film in stock soon.
